Terms of Service
Pledro is in its testing phase, and these terms are written for that: short, honest, and meant to be read. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
Current as of 18 August 2026
In force
These are the terms you are covered by today. The longer agreement we intend to run Pledro on is written and published in draft — read v1.0-draft — but it is not reviewed yet and it does not apply to anybody. We will tell you in the app before it does.

Pledro is operated by Pledro Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. You can reach us any time at hello@pledro.co.uk.
Who can use Pledro
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and enforce the age rule on our servers, not just in the app. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it.
Pledro is in beta
You are using a product that is still being tested. Features will change or disappear, things will occasionally break, the service may be unavailable, and we may need to reset data, including accounts, challenges, results, and balances, as part of testing. We'll be as careful as we can, but during this phase you shouldn't treat anything in Pledro as permanent.
Grind Coins, and no real money
Challenges in Pledro run on Grind Coins, a free virtual currency with no monetary value. Grind Coins cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or exchanged for money or anything else of value, and we may adjust or reset balances during testing. Joining a challenge uses Grind Coins as your entry; complete the challenge and your entry comes back with any performance reward, all in Grind Coins. No real-money features are active anywhere in Pledro.
While you are the only one in a challenge, you can withdraw at any time and your entry comes back in full. The moment somebody else enters, everyone in it is committed, including you: leaving then means your entry stays in the reward fund, before or after the start, and completing the target is the only route back to it. If you created a challenge you can call it off only while you are still the only one in it. If a challenge is called off, every entry is returned in full.
Amended 18 August 2026. Until this date this section said you could withdraw at any time before a challenge started and your entry would come back in full. Withdrawal is now free only while you are the only person entered; once anyone else has entered, everyone is committed. The app tells you this before you enter and again before you leave. Nothing else in these terms has changed, other than the correction in Deleting your account below, which pointed at a privacy document that only exists on this site.
Verified results
Every activity result in Pledro is verified against data from your connected wearable: that's what keeps challenges fair. Results that trip our integrity checks are held for review, and review decisions are final; if you think we got one wrong, you can appeal from the result screen in the app and a person will look again.
Acceptable use
Don't cheat: no manipulating, fabricating, or misattributing activity data, no sharing a wearable between accounts to claim someone else's effort, and no probing or interfering with the service's integrity systems. Don't abuse other members: no harassment, impersonation, or posting content that's unlawful or targets someone. We may remove content, hold results, or suspend and close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
What you post stays yours. By posting it you give us the non-exclusive licence we need to host and display it within the service, so your posts, photos, and comments can appear to the people you share them with. Delete your content or your account and that licence ends, subject to short backup-retention windows.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Your data) at any time, and your data is erased. How we handle your data, including analytics, is described in the full privacy policy at pledro.co.uk/privacy.
Liability
During testing the service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, and our liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Training is physical: take part within your own limits and get medical advice if you're unsure.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
